Friday's Fave Five 2

First off, go here for a wonderful children's book giveaway!

Hello and welcome to Friday's Fave Five. A place to think back over your week and just post 5 favorite things from your week. It can be anything that tickled your fancy over the week. Favorite quotes, posts, happenings, scriptures, recipes, etc., etc. Just make your own post, be as detailed as you like, linking to Living to Tell the Story and then add yourself to the Mr. Linky. Thanks for joining in. Hopefully we'll all have some smiles, meet some new people, find out interesting things about ourselves, focus on thankfulness and the good things in our lives, and in general have lots of fun!

Okay, on with my faves for the week!

1. A favorite post from the last week: "Gold" by Linda at Middle Years. I've been obsessed with watching the Olympics all week. I love competition and sports and have just been soaking it all in. So when Linda wrote this little post about a member of the ladies gymnastics team and painted a wonderful comparison to our Father in Heaven it just really touched my heart. Go read for yourself. It's short. And touching.

2. My music DVD of the week: Celtic Thunder. Can these guys sing! A group of 5 guys ranging in age from 43 down to 14, with a variety of musical backgrounds, the way they can sing together is incredible. Popular hits and celtic folk songs, I cannot stop watching and listening to them. Go 'head and click on the playlist. Each and every song is wonderful. There is not one on there that is not a favorite. Even my 13 year old loves them. Her favorite is "A Bird Without Wings" sung by the 14 year old of the group. This kid's voice is absolutely incredible. He also sings "Come by the Hills" as a solo. Give a listen and you tell me that you thought that was a 14 year old singing. And Linda, he does "Puppy Love" and gives Donny a run for his money! I can't even name a favorite. I love them all.

3. Fave quote of the week: "So, you're really into watching these Olympics, aren't you?" by my hubby to me. Translation: "So, when do we get to watch some tv where there is no jumping, running, twirling, leaping, falling or splashing involved?". He cracks me right up.

4. Fave thing I did this week:
Church last Sunday. Worship was awesome and the message spoke right to me. It was so nice to be back after missing two Sundays due to holidays.

5. Fave feel good moment:
When I recieved this award from Annie (My Life as Annie). It came at the perfect time and truly blessed me. Thank you Annie!

Your turn! What are your favorite 5 from the last week?

Okay, I'm going to attempt to install Mr. Linky. If I disappear off the face of the WWW, send a search party. Fingers crossed!

Susanne
Thank you so much! It is so sweet of you to include me in your Fave Five.
I am excitedly getting ready for the Siesta Fiesta at the Alamodome this afternoon. We've been anticipating it for months.
Thanks again.

I have heard Celtic Thunder on TV and you are so right!! These guys are absolutely wonderful. I listened to them again on the site you posted and must say their music sure makes my Irish and Scottish DNA stand up and take notice!
Thanks for reminding me about them.

Great meme! I really enjoyed the questions and your answers. I have not heard Celtic Thunder, so I'm going to have to look them up on iTunes and give them a listen :)

I'm really enjoying these Olympics also. My hubby has never been into them and has not watched any of either the summer or Winter since we've been married. I was able to get him interested in Michael Phelps, so we watched a lot of swimming and then some gymnastics, track and field and volleyball. I have really enjoyed them also, and now as they are winding down, I'm looking forward to some new shows from some of my favorite series returning in the fall :)

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

I saw you had done this a week or so ago and thought it would be fun to do this past Friday, but I was too tired and didn't get to it! Maybe this week!
