Christmas is coming fast and I have just a few more things to get.  At least there will be presents under the tree.  Now whether they are wrapped or not , we'll just have to wait and see.  Just kidding, they will get wrapped.  I always like to try and throw some books into the mix.  I love to read and love to pass that along to my kids, even though they are not little anymore.

So enquiring minds want to know, well at least my enquiring mind, what books are you giving this year for the 13 and up to adult crowd?`

well my oldest just started collecting the Maeve Binchy books (set in Ireland) so i bought her 2 of those. the almost 13 year old wanted Heaven is for Real, Touching Spirit Bear(a book she read in advanced english) and the sequel. Other good ones for teens-adults is The Hiding Place, The Help, Secret Life of Bees, Little Bee, The 13th Tale (most excellent!!), Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, Sarah's Key.

Hunger Games series, if the crowd has not already read them.

Entwined, by Heather Dixon. Or other (good and decent) fairy tale re-tellings.

I'll be giving some folks "1000 gifts"; my sons will be recieving "Courageous"; my SIL will get "Body Life" by Ray C Stedman; my hubby..."Authentic Christianity" by Ray C Stedman; one DIL will get "Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks (my MIL will also recieve this book on audio CD); my 11 yr old Granddaughter will get "In the Hall of the Dragon King" by Sephen Lawhead......I could go on and on since everyone gets one book and my mothers get 3 or 4 each. Buying books for my family is something I love to do.
