I have no words today. We had to put to sleep our lovely, little old lady, our little Licorice, last night after being with us for 21 years. We are sad beyond words and will miss her terribly. I'll be back tomorrow.
Oh Susanne! I'm crying over here. She had a good, long - really, really long - beloved life, and what more could a cat ask for? But I know how sore your heart is today.
Oh, I am so sorry!!! Your Licorice looks like my Kitty when I was growing up, and I do feel what you are feeling, because we had to do the same thing!!
Oh no, Susanne, I am very sorry. It's so hard to say goodbye to those pets who become part of the family, those who love us for decades... Take your time. I know Licorice will be deeply missed.

So sorry, I am sure you are all so sad! I always thought it was silly how attached people got to their pets.....BUT then we got a dog. She is now 7, and I am so attached to her! I can't imagine life with out her.
I'm so sorry Susanne. We lost our kitty, Zeke, just a couple of years ago. She was the same age as Licorice. My daughter said just the other day that she still misses her. It's amazing the way those little critters can work their way into your heart.
Oh, Susanne, I am SOOOO SORRY about your kitty. 21 years = a true member of the family.
2 years ago we had to put down our golden retriever, Ginger. We'd had her for 15 years and our entire family cried for 3 weeks. Really, just give yourself time to grieve.
I pray the Lord's tender touch on all your hearts, Susanne.
Oh my word, Susanne, I'm so, so sorry. Twenty-one years? I can't begin to imagine having a beloved pet for that long. It almost killed me when our Chloe died two years ago. She was 13 but had only been with us for the last 8 years of her life, and it felt like losing a child.
