It's C-c-c-c-cold!

Us Canadians are a tough bunch, no doubt about that.  But even the most hardy of us here in southern Alberta are feeling the chill tonight as wind chills are taking us to -43*C.  That is -45.4*F people!  Beyond deep freeze cold,   that is 3 degrees colder than the average winter North Pole cold!  Seriously... I looked it up!

I think I am in total agreement with this little guy:

That is ridiculously cold! We complain here if it drops below 0 lol.

Oh wow! Single digits here are uncommonly cold - we get them just a handle of times a year. I can't imagine -40! I've been in -20 degree weather before but never -40. You all must have great insulation around pipes to keep everything from freezing. That's one of the big concerns here when temperatures get down into the teens or below.

WOW!!!!! That is COLD! it's beyond cold! Today here in eastern NY we are feeling like spring. It is WEIRD. The temp was hovering about 45 degrees F and it's been sunny with blue skies. BUT...I heard the temps are going to plummet overnight and the high tomorrow will only be about 25 degrees F and the low about 9 and supposedly we are getting snow although it might stop once it reaches the Berkshire Mts and not make it into NY. Either way I am ready for dashing out the door in just a sweater...i'm so over winter and it sounds like you all up there have it WAY worse than us!! Stay warm, read books and drink great coffee :)

A co-worker is traveling to Toronto area and freaked out when I told her you guys were getting these temps. I'm going to Chicago and glad it's (by comparison anyway) a balmy 40F.
