Friday's Fave Five #379

Hello everyone!  It's Friday!  Are you ready to look for and share your top 5 blessings from the last week?    Join in with us as we endeavour to live lives of gratefulness.

1.

This little graphic couldn't be more true this week as the last few days have been quite chilly and rainy outside.  That is when a warm drink, the couch and a good book call my name especially loud.  At my house though, a cat or a dog are interchangeable and are both enjoyable!  :)

2.  Mother's Day.  A lovely day it was.  We had my mom over for lunch, I received some lovely flowersand a starbucks card and a cute tea set from my kids, and the much coveted phone calls from them.  I even got an impromptu song text from my new son in law that brought a good laugh.  A lovely relaxed afternoon was enjoyed by all.  I felt honored indeed.

3.  Strawberries.  They have been really good lately and are my go to fruit at the moment.  I even treated my self to one serving of "Bavarian Strawberries" (a strawberry dipped in sour cream and then dipped in brown sugar).  It is amazing!  Slightly defeats the all the nature's goodness of a plain strawberry but I figure I can treat myself once a season.

4.  Price adjustment o workout clothes.  I needed a set of new workout clothes and went and bought a pair of capris and two tank tops (workout clothes are so pricey!) only to find out they went on sale 2 days later.  I went in and asked for a price adjustment and was told that the chain does not really do that but the manager was good enough to return the clothes and then resell them to me at the sale price.  That was a savings of $30!

5.  No more clunking in the car.  Finally we got the car in to have the clunking in the back end.  A new part later and a nice quiet ride again!

What have your favourite blessings this week been?

mmmm! Strawberries are my favorite and I'm afraid of what I might do if I had that dip thing going on too! I'll stick to just plain! :)
SO glad you had a good mother's day. I too love those rainy days when I have a good excuse to lay around and read a good book. We haven't had many of those days here this spring. Workout clothes are so very expensive! Not really sure why but we have to have them to go to the gym right!?
Hope you have a great weekend Susanne!

Cute graphic! Love rainy days with good books and coffee.

Gad you had such a nice Mother's Day! My husband has developed an allergy to strawberries, so we don't have them as often, but my youngest son and I love them and get them occasionally.

Those weird car noises can be so annoying - glad you were able to get yours fixed!

That's neat the manager was willing to work with you on the sales price of the clothes.

Yippee for the price adjustment and the quiet ride. I do enjoy a quiet ride. Glad you were treated lovingly on Mother's day and that you treated your mom, too. Strawberries are a good treat anyway you enjoy them! Have a wonderful weekend.

Is THAT what that's called! I had been introduced to strawberries-sour-cream-brown-sugar before but didn't know it had a name.

I see your spring weather has swung back to cold and rainy. At least you have plenty of reading material and a willing feline ;-)

What? No chocolate on those strawberries??

Phone calls, flowers and lots of love is all we moms want, right? Your new son-in-law sounds like a keeper.

We've been having grey mornings, so the comfy chair, hot drink and book have been paramount in my days too. You're lucky to have the canine/feline addition.

Strawberries are now at their peak in my part of the world. I haven't got any yet, but hope to rectify that soon.

Yes! Reading on the couch with a nice hot beverage. I haven't got to do tha lately but hoping to soon.

I'm all about a quiet ride, glad yours is working well now.

Sounds like you have had a nice week. I totally agree with you about curling up with a good book and a cat in a comfy chair on a rainy day! Sounds like you had a great Mother's Day. So nice. Have a good weekend and enjoy the week ahead!

Hello Susanne
You had a great week!
Well done on the price adjustment - most stores wouldn't do that here!
It was Mothers Day over here and I received goodies from both my children who live overseas!
Thank you for hosting.
