Oh Yeah, It's Valentine's Today

Well here it is, Valentine's Day.  And if I am being totally honest, I don't care.  This one just about got totally by me.  It's a good thing I looked at the calendar or it just would have seemed like any other day.  Except, maybe, for the big batch of cupcakes with a bowl of icing and a tray of various sprinkles and toppings that a dayhome parent sent with their child this morning.  Bless that parent's heart!  May she be rewarded a hundred fold.

But while I love my hubby dearly, it's going to be business as usual today.  We won't even get to eat dinner together today.  But know, Sweetie, that I'll be blowing you kisses all day long in the general direction of where you work and that you have my heart in your hands.  Good thing we let each other know we love each other on other days other than Valentine's Day.

Now I need to go and quickly make 7 heart shaped cards that don't look like they've been slapped together.   Happy Valentine's everyone and may you be in chocolate induced heaven by tonight.

I'm with you. V -Day isn't really that big of a deal to me.

But I would eat a cupcake, yes, I would!

It's not a biggie here either, though my hubby real came through this year--a hand-made card plus a certificate to have him make me dinner one night. Very nice. :)

Well we don't put the pressure on over here to make this day crazy. Some years we celebrate, some years we don't. We are happy for all the love that is poured down on us all year long. Glad you have a fun sweet treat today!

Any day is a day to celebrate your love for each other, that's true! Happy Valentine's day to you and your sweetheart Susanne!

I love this post because it is so true. If we just show our love on one day and not the others it doesn't mean anything. Happy Valentines Day!!!

I love Valentine's Day, but we went pretty low key this year. Sometimes special occasions do end up like that. On our 25th anniversary we went to a nice hotel we'd been wanting to visit for years -- and slept in separate beds, sick as dogs, lol. But though I love special occasions and holidays, the real romance is the everyday underlying steady care for each other.

We never celebrated Valentine's Day, for the simple reason it didn't exist !
Since a few years it swapped over slowly from the States, but besides the shop windows full of hearts (business is business) it's not a big deal.
PS. This new word verification is a nightmare !
