Well, I never thought I'd see the day, but yesterday was it. What is the world coming to when, in the first week of January, my city in Alberta, Canada was warmer than Fort Lauderdale, Florida yesterday! A balmy 15*C (59*F). Maybe I need to break out the sunscreen and floppy hat. But the hat would probably be whipped off my head from the wind in two seconds and someone in Eastern Canada would find it.
It is seriously scary though. It is so tinder dry around these parts. And bringing that warmth is those crazy winds. 110km an hour in some areas. Flipping semi trailers and emergency vehicles on the highway. Knocking down a power pole, it sparked a huge grass fir again whipped into craziness by the wind, it covered 60 km in no time whatsoever and 3 families lost their homes and some animals and outbuildings.
In all seriousness, I think, no, I know I really would rather have snow. I know, call doctors in white coats now.
