Missing: the last week

Holy Toledo!  Is it really Thursday already?  Where on earth did that week go?  It has just flitted right by without me even noticing.  Yikes.

So what have I done this week?  I better think this through or else I'll wonder if I was alive and breathing.

-T and I served at the soup kitchen on Saturday.  Always a pleasure doing that.  Then I had movie night with my sis and niece.  We watched "My Life in Ruins" with the actress of "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".  Love, love, loved My Big Fat Greek Wedding.  Hate, hate, hated My Life in Ruins.  When it was done we looked at each other and lamented we would never get back that hour and a half of our lives.  We questioned several times if we should switch movies but we kept thinking something would happen.  Was rated PG 13 on the back for violence.  About the only violence was when they drove the tour bus off the road.  Should have been rated PG 13 for all the sexual references.
-Sunday I missed church because I was coughing so much.  But I managed to make Sticky Chicken for supper.  Yum, yum!

-Monday was work where one little duffer tested my patience to the max.  But I managed to make my first ever Chicken Pot Pie with home made crust.  The chicken from Sunday was a Hutterite chicken so it was huge with plenty for this second meal.  My crust turned out really good if I do say so myself.  Flaky and delicious.  The pie looked real ugly because I used way too big a dish and it all looked collapsed and the edges got waaaay too brown but it sure tasted good.  Went to bible study where I had trouble focusing as I put all my effort into trying not to cough up a lung.

-Tuesday was the usual run around of work (where above mentioned little duffer kept up his antics now compounded by his partner in crime, the only girl in dayhome), violin lessons for T on one end of town and then racing to make youth group which is on the other end of town.  Came home and coughed up the other  lung.

-After an interesting day of Bonnie & Clyde wreaking havoc yet again in dayhome, Wednesday I did my Costco run.  Two hours of shopping, unloading and putting away later, I realized I forgot the cat litter.  And the coffee.  Guess I'll be going back because neither cat nor I can live without our essentials.  Got to bed at midnight because T. worked and had to be picked up at 11:30.

-So here we are at today.  So far, so tired.  Bonnie & Clyde are restraining themselves.  So far.  We'll see how the day pans out.

What an exciting life I lead.  LOL.  But it is life.  The one I am given for this time. One filled with some trials, but lots of love.  Some missteps, but God's grace to help me through them.  Some challenges, some triumphs. A life like most of us lead.  I'm so thankful for this life God has bestowed.

How has your week been going?

I'm tired just reading this! And laughing with you -- I love how you found the humor in all this.

My week has been mellow in comparison. I'd forgotten how those little ones can wear you out.

I'm new to your blog and I can't help but wondering, who are Bonnie and Clyde? Are they pets? Children?

:)

I don't know how you managed to get as much done as you did what with your nasty cough and the dynamic duo :)

Love your sense of humor here....and really praying for you to get that cough outta there!! Feel better, blogging friend. I have a couple of "bonnie and clydes" myself at work....only they are both 8 year old special needs boys...they are FULL of it sometimes! kinda exhausting. Your Tuesday sounds like mine only my Cl is being run from an after school play rehearsal to 4 hours of ballet classes. LOL...across town....but...like you said, it's life right now and I wouldn't trade it for anything! see you tomorrow at the FFF

Congrats on the potpie! I haven't made one in quite a while, I need to, everyone enjoys a good potpie.

Good to know about the movie. I hate seeing a bad movie, that's how my daughter and I felt about Bridesmaids. We must have been in the minority, lots of people loved it, but we thought it was rude and crude.

Good luck with Bonnie and Clyde.
