Friday's Fave Five #136

Hello everyone and welcome to Friday's Fave Five.  Please join us as we look back over the week and find those things that were blessings and uplifted us, those things big and small.  This week has been absolutely overwhelming for me as my dear Mom-in-love went to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday morning.  While we grieve she is gone, we also rejoice because she is with the Lord, free from suffering.  She was a dear, sweet woman who always had a big hello and a hug for everyone she came in contact with.  She will be sorely missed.  While I am not going to participate, not because we haven't seen God move and give us blessings in our grief, but simply because of time, I invite you to take a look back over your week and notice at how God might be moving in your days, even if you are experiencing hard ones.  I'll be back next week when I can breathe.

Oh, Susanne, I am so sorry. We would have understood perfectly if you had needed to hold off on hosting FFF another week, but thanks so much for opening it for us.

This is the third death I have heard of from Easter weekend. What a poignant time for a believer to enter into His presence. Though we rejoice when a loved one is with Him and free from sin, sorrow, and pain, we still ache with missing them. May God's "merciful kindness be for [your] comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant" (Psalm 119:76).

"Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world" (John 17:24).

Oh, Susanne, I'm so sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers. My dear friend's mother passed on Easter morning several years ago. It was such a bitter sweet time. We were so sad to say goodbye, but what a joyous day to enter into God's kingdom! Big hugs to you.

Praying for your family, Susanne. I'm glad you have hope even while your family grieves the loss of someone who was a blessing to so many.

I've been away and just today (May 17) been catching up on your blog.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother-in-law. But what a blessing that you know where she is now - and that you have the assurance of seeing her again.

In the meantime, I pray this reality helps to ease the pain and fill the hole of her loss.

God bless you and your family over the next months.

Love,
Karyn
