Friday's Fave Five #108

Hi and welcome to Friday's Fave Five! Yes, I have a new button again. I just love the fall designs and colors, so go ahead and use which ever one you like the best. Join me as we reflect back upon our weeks and look for the good things in our lives, the simple or the big, that were a blessing, that changed our perspective, that uplifted us, that made us smile. If you need details you can go on over here first.

1. This magician video made me pause and say "How do they do that?" This is more the magic show that I enjoy, not the creepy kind of magic that some of the magicians who are popular today do. Anyway, I enjoyed the little break as I watched this. 10 Illusions in 5 Minutes.

2. The fact that today is Friday! I am so glad this week is over and the weekend is upon us. It's been a long work week and I'm looking forward to just slowing down and planning my Thanksgiving dinner for next weekend. Yes, Canadian Thanksgiving is
in October. The oldest girl is coming home and I love me turkey dinner so the plans will be in the works.

3. Autumn. The leaves are finally starting to change color and some are even falling. Although it has been a windy week here, it has been warm with one day this week actually hitting 27*C which translates to a hot 79*F. Which to me is hot. Indian summer is upon us.

This is my Ohio Buckeye tree. I'm in love with the orange colors it turns.

4. A massage therapist who knows what she's doing. I have issues with a really tight upper back and neck. I can just feel huge knots in it at certain times. The lady whom I'm going to now is a blessing. She knows how to get in there and work those out for me using a variety of techniques and boy does it ever help. I feel way better after seeing her which I couldn't always say after visiting a massage therapist.

5. A good night's rest. Sometimes I think, in my case anyway, I don't realize what a blessing something is until that something is taken away. The other night for various reasons I had a horrible night of sleep. Boy did I ever appreciate what a good night's rest does the day after a day of a horrible night. Does that make sense? LOL. In any case, I am very appreciative again of a good night's sleep and am very thankful that not so good sleeps are rare for me.

What have been your favorites blessings and moments from this last week? Do a post and link on up!

Oh, I'm looking forward to checking out that video. And HURRAY for Friday -- couldn't agree with you more.

You knew I'd smile at your 79F temps. We're headed that way in a few weeks. That's down from a record 113F this past Monday.

I like your 4 and 5 -- a nice combination of relaxing those kinks in the muscles and getting good sleep. Happy weekend, Susanne!

You are so lucky with the weather ! In Belgium it is rather depressing ! One week rain and not more than 9 to 15° C !
A good therapist is very important, he/she can make your life indeed far better ! I am doing yoga exercises every morning to keep myself fit !

We're planning for Cdn Thanksgiving too... visiting family north of the 49th parallel. Always fun to celebrate TWO Thanksgivings as an expat living in the U.S.

I like your pretty button! Thanks again for hosting.

My kids love that video! We watched it together and we had so much fun.

The good massage - I think I need that. Its been a while since my last massage. I'll make sure to treat myself with a relaxing massage.

Oh Susanne I can so relate to the good night's sleep. I have had trouble sleeping the last 2 weeks also! It's such a nuisance!! So when I can sleep the whole night I LOVE it, I feel so much better!
A good massage therapist, now that is something great!!!!!!! :)

Love those fall leaves -- I got to see some this week. And I know what you mean by a good night's sleep.

I have pictures today...!

Have a great week ahead.

Sound sleep makes such a difference! I like autumn, too. The colors are so pretty, but because of the hot dry summer, we're not getting much fall color this year.

I squeezed in time for my blog and your read and I'll get to the video and others later today.

I'm with you on being glad the weekend is here to rest and it is Friday at last.

The weather has played havoc this week, in fact it was so hot to sleep last night.

Your new button is Fallish, and Thanksgiving is around the corner. The harvest has started by our resent visit to the apple orchard. My daughter will be in the fields of potatoes this week and we grew enough carrots. It will all come together. Thanks

A good massage therapist is awesome. A few years agos I was having back and neck trouble and my massage therapist helped so much.

I'm really happy its Friday as well, sometimes the week just needs to end!

I agree with a good nights sleep, so important to us in order to feel good!

Happy Friday:)!

I think the tight upper back is a day care provider thing! My Dr. always seems surprised it's not my lower back...but it's all that weird moments to help little ones around. Praying it heals quickly for you:).!

We're having Indian summer here too! So gorgeous!

I love my massage therapist - my only trouble is I'm so relaxed after she's done that I can barely get off the table let alone get in the car and drive home:)

A good night's sleep is a real blessing. I have way too many friends who suffer from insomnia.

Mmm I'm starting to make Thanksgiving plans too! I better get over to the orchard this afternoon and pick my apples for pie!

Happy weekend Suzanne.

I sO agree that a gOOd massage therapist is key to a healthy back! I get a lot of knots too...

I also like YOUR kind of magic... I'm not a fan of David Copperfield... at all.

I had sleep on my five this week too - but sorta different! LOL!

I love how you keep us fresh with new buttons! Very pretty. Makes me smile, too.

Good for you to plan your Thanksgiving dinner already. I’m glad we Americans have another month to think about it.

Yes, a good night’s sleep is a wonderful thing. I’m a horrible sleeper, so when I get a good night in, I can really tell the difference.

Have a great weekend.

I'm stunned...how do they do that..lots of fast paced action. Good to see that you found a good massage knubbler..Mine has no papers, but she knows what she is doing.
I had my best sleep last night..I understood that comment very well.

I'm enjoying the first signs of fall around here, too. A massage therapist really is calling to me these days. Thanks for hosting FFF Susanne!

I don't like the creepy kind of magic acts, either, but this kind does amaze me, especially when it is done so quickly.

The laves are only just starting to change this week, but it has been feeling a lot nicer.

I appreciate a good night's sleep more and more the older I get. I don't usually have a problem, but since school started I am not getting enough. I usually have to nap at some point, and I just hate having to take the time for that during the day. But I would hate to go to bed by 9, too, so I guess it's a toss-up.

I LOVE Fridays.

I have never been to a massage therapist, but I would love to have someone work out the kinks in my shoulders.

There's nothing like a good night's sleep! Always a favorite!

I've never had a massage ... glad you have a good therapist, though.

A good rest and a good massage are both such huge blessings.
I like looking at magic tricks. At our last retreat I was the EmCee and I also had a little magic trick to start off my "talk." Of course they were dorky, but it was fun and brought a laugh.

yeah for fridays!!
We've been enjoying warm temps too until today with the wind, grey, rain, and only 63. But....It's cozy, I'm home now, and gonna clean then read all evening!
Love the fact that you have a good massage therapist....and that video is awesome!! Happy Weekend!!

Has it been Indian Summer all over North America? Like Anne, we had triple digit temperatures!

May I borrow your massage therapist? She sounds wonderful.

Happy weekend to you, Susanne!

That magic show is seriously freaky!

Nothing beats a good night's sleep, does it? Of course, we usually have to suffer a rough night to really appreciate the good sleep - guess that is the way of it.

The colors of the leaves have been gorgeous, haven't they? Unfortunately, as of today, most are now on the ground around here.

Have fun planning your Thanksgiving dinner! Especially enjoy your girl being home. I'm spending my Thanksgiving on the airplane....heading to spend time with my own girl (and SIL, Grandson and granddaughter - and maybe a 'new' one!) In case I don't get to come by before then - Happy Thanksgiving!

1. I was enjoying the video, but when her legs walked on stage, I about died!
2. Aren't Friday's the best?
3. Fall this year is amazing. I'm loving it!
4. A great massage is amazing. I have back pain also and wow, does it feel great after my massage!
5. Sleep! Aw... you got me there. I often have terrible insomnia. Glad you are back to your regular sleep pattern!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for sharing. I missed it this week, but hope to catch up next week on the FFF! =)

Sorry to be visiting so late. I actually PUBLISHED on Friday but ran out of time and haven't had the chance to visit here until today. Life's busy but pretty wonderful right now. The video looks like fun and I look forward to checking it out. The weather here in Southern California has been more than strange, but I guess summer is over and fall is on the way? Good to find someone to help ease tensions in your body. Hope you're sleeping better now.
Hugs and blessings,
