The Weather it Continues

Today is grey and blustery with the skies opening up on us. With rain this time, not snow. Which is a. good. thing. Rain is good. The ground is drinking it up thirstily, (is that even a word? my spell check passed it so I guess it is.) and grass is starting to take on a nice green. The hundred km an hour winds (60mph) that brought them though, not so much fun. I could live without that. But as long as the buds continue on sprouting I guess I'll put up with even that.

This kind of weather always makes me want to find my book, my reading wrap, and my nice cup of coffee. (And I am reading a really, really good book btw. " The Silent Gift." See my sidebar. Have to tear myself away from it.) But I don't think the kids would be thrilled with a day like that so we will be making Mother's Day cards and gifts instead. If I didn't think I'd lose one of them to the wind we'd go jump in a few puddles. But I don't think I'll risk that. Might be hard to explain to their parents.

So lot's of coloring, painting, glue and sparkles are in my immediate future. Hopefully, I'll be able to resurface to that book and wrap tonight. I might even turn on the electric fireplace. Yup, when I get cozy, it's no holds barred.

We had that kind of day yesterday. Thankfully today seems a bit brighter so I will proceed with my garage imprisonment...
Hope things start turning toward summer for you :0)

I'm sorry that the weather is not co-operating.

Making Mother's Day cards/gifts with the children sounds like a good idea.

You know it's crappy weather here also. Cloudy, voggy, no wind miserable. Mother nature isn't happy it appears. :)

Our weather has been good, but very hot, in the 90's and the air runs almost constantly, but nothing in storm wise, I hope your rain stops, and the sun comes out.

We heard about that on the news last night -I was hoping you wouldn't get s**w. We've had a lot of rain lately too - plus some high winds. But the tulips are blooming a month early so no complaints from me.

Stay cozy!

We've had wind here too. No rain, but 50-60 mph wind gusts. (and sunshine, but I'm not going to tell you about that).
