Shaking in my Boots

Just so you'll all feel collectively sorry for me: I have to go grocery shopping today. And last minute gift shopping. And I have to go to the hairdresser. But that's not the bad part. The worst part is as it sits right now it is -33*C with a windchill making it feel like it's -44*C. Let me translate that for my stateside friends. -27*F with a windchill making it -47*F.

-47*F!

Now if someone would have taken the time to sit me down at the beginning of December when it was unseasonably downright balmy and told me to get off my duff and get the Christmas stuff done because the ye olde Big Chill was coming, I would have mightily appreciated it. I may even have listened and done something. But now, I'm about to head out the door. And I'm shaking in my boots. Not out of fear, but because I'm freezing and I'm not even outside yet. If you don't hear from me by Tuesday, please send a search party. I'll probably be frozen to the pavement in the SuperStore parking lot, turkey and brie cheese in my hand.

Oh my goodness. I cannot believe how cold it is where you are (am I remembering correctly that you are in Alberta Canada area?)
Here in NYS, in the capital region (which is only 2 hours northwest of NYC) we are having temps of 17. And I'm complaining about that! We're downright balmy compared to you folks!!
Well, Happy shopping! Stay warm!!

YIKES! And I thought we were cold here sitting at a big fat zero.

I think I'll keep our single digit temps and 2 feet of snow with more on the way over your temps anyday!

Stay warm, warm, warm!!!!

Well, say hi to Santa! I'm not sure if you wanna know this or not, but it's 73 at my house today. If it's any consolation, I still have to shop too!

Oh.My.Word. I had to go back and look at your profile to remind myself where you live. Way up north! Yikes, it's cold up there! BTW, there's something waiting for you over at my place:) Hope you got all your errands done!

Sheesh this weather event is really something!! Washington is bracing for a storm tonight. Lana had to stand in line at the grocery store for over 45 minutes today and all the lanes were open!!!

Bless you! I can't imagine. My wimpy self would not survive. You deserve to get your hair done after running errands in that weather!

Okay, there's cold and then there's ridiculous. We're at 19deg here today. Which is fuh-reeeeezing for me, but sounds downright tropical compared to what you're going through.

Who invented "global warming" anyway?

That does it. I will never complain about Pennsylvania winters AGAIN.

Don't try and hold me to that, m'kay?

Okay - you stole all my thunder. I was going to whine about our temperature going from 75 degrees yesterday to a bitingly cold 40 degrees today (with a really bone-chilling wind). The only thing that could possibly make me go outside again today is a Christmas Program with my two granddaughters in it. So....I will bundle myself up and brave the elements.
However...I can't even process going out in -47 degree weather. Bundle up!

I hope you made it back okay!! I just cannot imagine functioning at such temperatures.

Thank goodness it hasn't been that cold here. We have lots of show and I'm snowed in so am hibernating like an old bear. Prayerfully I can get out by Christmas day so I can be with family.
I hope you made it back home safely with your turkey and brie.
Have a wonderful Christmas

Oh that pic is so cute. It looks like Zoe. I usually feel pretty tough when I complain about our weather, but then I come here and you put me to shame!
