Random and Weird, Yup That's Me!

Don't forget about my book giveaway here!

Over the past few weeks, I have been tagged with numerous fun memes. Unfortunately, my computer went katputze. Hubby worked hard all day and recovered some of the emails I had kept to remind me where these memes came from. But unfortunately, I'm thinking some have gone into the wild blue cyberspace yonder. If yours is not showing up, I'm so sorry. A couple of the ones I have found is "Eight Random Facts about Me" from Barb at Spotlis and Michelle at Michelle's Family Life and "Eight Weird Facts About Me" from Shalee at Shalee's Diner. I've done both of these before many moons ago so I'm gonna twist it and do Eight Random Weird Facts about Me and my Thanksgiving Weekend.

1. I always know when I'm not going to feel well because all of a sudden I just don't want to drink coffee. And I crave tea. And if you know me at all you'll know that is weird, weird, weird. And that is exactly what happened Saturday morning.

2. Instead of turkey this Thanksgiving we had goose. Being from a European household I grew up always having goose on special occasions but haven't had it in many, many years. Is that a weird thing? Not in my books, but it might be in yours. :v)

3. We also had bbq ribs for Thanksgiving. Now that is weird. In our family anyway.

4. Instead of pumpkin pie, I made these babies, and were they good!

5. I always forget to put an apron on until it's too late.

6. One of our favorite pies we had on Thanksgiving is rhubarb/banana. I know it sounds weird, but it is yummy! Just place banana slices on the the bottom pie crust, cover with whatever rhubarb pie filling you use, add the top and bake as usual. MMM!

7. I actually missed watching the Amazing Race on Sunday! Good thing I have PVR!

8. It was weird saying goodbye AGAIN to my daughter as we put her on the bus AGAIN yesterday afternoon to go back to school. I will never, ever get used to it.

I'm supposed to tag 8 people, but I'm just too busy to do that and link and leave the message so if you want to do the tag, YOU'RE IT! Hopefully eight of you will feel sorry for me and pick up the tag and play. Let me know if you do! :v)

I can't do this one because there's just nothing weird about me at all, Susanne.

Hahahaha.

Yes you will. I know you don't believe me yet, but you will get used to telling her goodbye when she goes back to school. I'm pretty sure it won't be for a couple of years, but you will eventually get used to it and it won't be so painful as it is now.

Your banana rhubard sounds good and I personally don't think bbq'd ribs are at all weird, for anything. They're always good! Even with goose. LOL

Well you are weird...just kidding!! I was just at a restaurant last night called Polly's Pies and they have a Banana, Strawberry pie that they serve...
I'm trying to rack my brain and remember if I've ever had goose...
Have a good short week :0)

I've never had rhubarb or goose. I'd love to try them as I can't imagine what they taste like.

My mouth is already watering thinking about our Thanksgiving, and I am enjoying all of the recipes that people are posting now.

I'm very jealous. I can not make decent rhubarb pie at all.

Those were neat. I like reading MEME's even if I don't do them.

Oh, another twin sister thing, Susanne! I can always tell when I am suddenly fighting a bug because I will not want coffee but crave tea!

Are you feeling better now? Hope so!
I am over my bug, but now the root canal that I managed to get out of is calling my name again, and I think I'll have to bite the bullet and get it done this week...:(

Banana rhubarb pie does indeed sound weird...but somehow, strangely yummy!!! :)

Hey Susanne! Long time since I've been able to get by. Things have been hectic here too. Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving. Hope all is well!

Hmmm...rhubarb/banana, sounds different but I think I'd be willing to try it. I've never had goose before!

Sounds like your Thanksgiving was a good one.

I am the same way about tea, and getting like that now so I must be coming down with a cold.
Well, thank goodness for PVR so you can see Race!
I'm glad your daughter was there for a visit...you don't get used to it easily but some day it will get a little better!

Those pumpkins bars sure sound delish....
my husband has had goose but not me.
I'll stick with turkey.

Goose huh? So, do you just buy it at the supermarket or where do you get it?

Who knows... maybe they have goose at my grocery store as well and I've just never noticed it. Will have to make a mental note to check next time I am there.

Happy Belated Thanksgiving!!

I'm with Donnetta: tell us about the goose! It's so Charles Dickens!

Ha! I find it funny that you received both of them so closely to each other. I really like the twist!

I've never had goose. But I love that idea of BBQ ribs for Thanksgiving.

And the no coffee thing? That's just flat out odd! :o)
