A Close Call

Driving along in our automobile, enjoying the forest around us, in the middle of nowhere in the mountains we started to come across stop signs and street signs. That was strange and unique, we thought, seeing we weren't yet too close to a town. And then we saw this one: Well, we had to pull over and check that out! And take a pic, of course. What good little blogger wouldn't. The girls meanwhile had started to walk around just to take a peek down the road. That's when I heard it. My girls yelling. As I turned around this is what I saw:

The namesake of the sign. Oh, no! Could this mean trouble? Run, Tia, run!

Oh no! Tia! Come back! Don't let him get the hair!

That's it! Give it all you've got. Push that big old hand away even though it is bigger than your head!

Run, girls, run! Whew, they made it. Good thing Dad was sitting in the van running the motor so we could make a getaway!

Moral of the story: Be very, very careful when getting out of the car to check out any cute mountain roads that have the name Sasquatch in it.

Now I'm going to go rent Harry and Hendersons just so we can see what a close call we had.

Oh what fun! We have a huge troll sculpture that sits under a bridge in Seattle that it's fun to take these kind of shots with...
I'm so glad you blog so we could get a glimpse of a real sasquatch!!

Hilarious. He must have been "sighted" there or something. BTW, yes, the author did indeed email me, and he was nice. I think they Google their names and book's name to see what the public chatter is saying.
