This is a petunia. A pretty pink petunia. A pretty, pink petunia sitting on a nice sunny deck.

These are petunias. Sad, pink petunias. Petunias that got in the path of a maniac, dive bombing wasp and a crazy woman weilding a bottle of Lysol Disinfectant Cleaner aimed at said wasp. Sad petunias became collateral damage. Wasp didn't make it. Crazy woman's hair is still standing on end.

I'm with Ellen. They look really cool. Hope your hair tames down soon. That's a photo I'd love to see, hee, hee!

I'm not good with flying bugs either. Zap 'em all, I say!!

Have a great day, friend.

Too funny! I'm glad the wasps didn't make it. And please let me note, again for the record, that I cannot grow petunias this year. I planted them THREE times and they all died. Yours are so pretty - enjoy them! :)

How scary! I am so not a fan of wasps we had a nest in our backyard last year and I refused to go out until we hired someone to take it down.

I'm glad you got the wasp! I go after them with hairspray -- I've heard that as it dries it stiffens their wings so they can't fly, and then I can whack them. I think what actually happens is that I drown them in hair spray. But I would rather do that that breathe bug spray.

The petunias do look kind of interesting!

Ick...I hate wasps!!

I usually spray Hot Shot around all wood/deck/trellis/swingset, etc. etc. and I am serious when I say we do NOT get wasps....that stuff really works. I usually spray in April, again in June and then in August....it really does keep them away. Try it! (it doesn't contain bleach! LOL)

Still pretty though.

Poor petunias. I didn't know Lysol killed wasps. Around here, the problem is hornets, or yellow jackets, and I have a wonderful trap hanging from a tree that captures every one that dares come into my yard.

I wonder what would happen if you Febrezed your petunias. LOL

They look like some weird new variety of Petunial Susanne!
The pictures in your other post are just precious.

I'd say that those petunias look perfect, especially if they're wasp-free!
