Please Mr. Weatherman

An open letter to Mr. Weatherman:

Please Mr. Weather Controler Man,

I don't know what's got your goat, but you really need to stop this little tantrum you are on. Your cold shoulder of the past 5 days was hard to take. It left me cold to my bones and your icy heart really harmed a lot of helpless people.

And as if you're chilly attitude was not hard enough to take now your really roaring at us with wind that is gusting up to 134 km an hour! (That's 83 miles an hour). How are my kids supposed to walk to the bus in that. You're just being plain nasty. And not only am I worried about my kids, but the sudden drop in temperature from -18 Celcius to -4 Celcius in a few hours is wreaking havoc with the roads and highways around here. Not only is the frostiness coming up out of the road but now you're blowing all that snow across it turning it into a skating rink.

And my friends in West Coast Canada and West Coast and MidWest USA, well they are feeling your coldness towards them, too. Your bad behavior is becoming very worrisome all over. I don't see why we need to put up with this show of aggression. If you were one of the children, you'd be sitting in time out. I really need to ask you to stop this temper tantrum and bring about some normalcy.

Please and Thank You Very Much.

Sincerely,
Susanne

Too cute! We are having 100% chance of wintery mix and snow later today in the South USA....I can't wait(just because we don't get snow very often)...but I know it has been hard on you guys who are farther north....My sister lives in Alaska and they had 44 inches of snowfall in just a weeks time.(or something like this)

HAHA!! I just found your blog and had to LOL when I read this post!! I live in Georgia and it's toooo warm here. So warm that my daffodils have sprouted and my paperwhites have blooms!!!! They think it's spring!!!

So... if you don't mind... I would like to ask Mr. Weatherman to re-route a bit of this cold. I believe it would help everyone. :)

His,
Mrs. U

we've got some icky stuff coming -- though nothing like that.

THAT sounds like out first winter in Wisconsin. It amazed me how life went on in that weather... it had to though or everyone would be stuck at home from November to March...

Keep warm!!

Blessings,
Karla

I just saw our local news and they said a front "from Canada" is headed our way. So, I guess you got your wish. I won't get any snow, just cold humidity. Wish I could at least build a snowman. :>(

This was so cute...

I use to pray for no snow...I would rant and rave against it until I saw how the lack of snow hurt several of my friends businesses...skiing, snowmobile rental, etc. Now I feel guilty if I complain but the wind!! Now, we don't need wind to have snow...I am with you on that one. And ice...I fell three times last year... We need a weatherman song, after all the Postman has his own song?? Any takers on writing one?

God Bless!

You are too funny. We just got hit this morning with some frigid weather. No snow or ice, but the bite of the chill really hurts. We south Texans aren't use to this at all.

Is this a petition you've started...because I'll sign! It really was not very thoughtful to dump 3 inches of snow on us last night in the middle of the night, a weeknight at that. And to top it off, a night where I have to have the family all up and out the door early the next morning.

A Friday night would work much better ushering into a lazy Sat. morning where we could all stay snuggled up and I could sit and sip my coffee enjoying it rather than driving in it!....

Yep, may I borrow a pen? I'll sign! :-)

Very creative and fun post!

I've been hearing about all that Western snow and cold weather! Atlantic Canada must be in the Mr. Weatherman's good books - we haven't had any snow yet - and the temp today was 12C (54F)

I have been complaining about the cold all day today - and now I feel ashamed of myself. It was 82 degrees yesterday and it was in the 30's today and very windy. We are in for our first hard freeze tonight. However, that seems very mild compared to your weather. Perhaps if we stick him in time-out he'll moderate things a bit. (In fact, we're supposed to make it up to 60 tomorrow). Perhaps you should consider a move to Texas:)
This picture isn't my Christmas Card, but it is a Christma Card picture I swiped from some website. I really love it!

I have a feeling you're going to be get a "thanks you for your thought" form letter back.

Keep warm (if possible) and safe (most definitely).

Oooh, ick. Not nice. We haven't even had winter in CT yet. It's odd. My daughter can't wait for snow, but yes, that icy windy weather I can do without.

Isn't it awful? When I get this cold the only thing that warms me up again is sitting in a hot bath so I'm spending so much time in there I'm turning into a prune!

What you need is a nice hot cup of amaretto cocoa or vanilla cappuccino. So be watching your email - I'm getting ready to send you those recipes. Just like I promised. What? Two days ago? Sigh...
