Pizza Meme

I've been tagged by both Barb and Gibee for the Pizza Meme going around. And I gotta give credit where credit is due, I totally kidnapped Barb's pizza delivery guy. I hope he's got my favorite in that little red bag! Without further ado:

What was your favorite thing about being a kid?

One of my favorite memories from my childhood was the neighborhood water fights in the summer. Usually my Dad started it or the lady next door. My Dad would get her over the fence or she would get my Dad as he sat with eyes closed soaking up the sun after a hard day. Well once that started me and my sis and their kids would get in on it, and the neighbor on the other side of her and even the people kitty corner down the street. Every available tap, bucket and hose was used within a four house radius and it was before some smart person invented water guns so we usually depleted my mom's sandwich bag supply to fill with water to throw. I remember my Dad just giggling like a kid and my mom not daring to come outside. It was bedlam and chaos and one of my best memories.

And Christmas! Christmas was always a time to be where there was a houseful of our friends. We have no relatives anywhere near here, and neither did they so we were each others relatives here in Canada and Christmas was always meant for being together.

What was your favorite subject in school?

In elementary, it was social. Junior High it was math. The teacher was awesome and made it fun and easy to understand. In High School it was biology and psychology.

Who was your best friend when you were 10?

You know I can't remeber, but I think it might have been the cute boy 2 houses away. Or maybe I was delusional, who knows.

If you could be any animal what would you be?

My fave animal is a sea otter 'cause they're so cute and fun to watch with their babes, but if I had to choose an animal to be I think it would be a bald eagle. Not 'cause I'm a bald wanna be, but because they live in the mountains, and get to soar so close to God, no worries, they just soar and are lifted up by the drafts, not having to put out major effort to be higher. They're protected by law and really have no natural enemies. They can raise their young in peace and beauty.

What would you change about your school, occupation, life right now?

I think the only thing I would change would be to work less hours and work the hours of my choosing. Say maybe someone reading would like to start paying me to blog and leave comments. That would be right up my alley. Otherwise, I'm pretty content with my life.

What is your favorite colors?

I like most colors. Depends on what it's for. Clothing, living areas, etc. But I do tend to really gravitate toward greens and mauves, and earthy kinds of beiges, like stone and camel. Not builder's beige. Yuck! Oh and I love red!

What is your favorite type of crust and topping on pizza?

Pizza's my fave food so I love just about all of 'em except shrimp or anchovies. EWW! But my all time fave is thick crust with feta cheese, geen pepper, black olives and tomatoes sliced on fresh after the pizza is cooked. Yumm, yumm! Okay now I want pizza for supper!

I think almost all of blogdom has done this tag so if you have let me know in comments. Let's see I'm gonna go Canadian this time and tag Janice and Mugwumpmom. And anyone else who is Canadian, or Canadian living somewhere else, or a wanna be Canadian. Let me know in the comments if you're doing it.

I loved reading this! Your bald eagle comment, the water fights sound like so much fun. Your dad must have been a blast. And the pizza sounds so good I think we just changed the dinner menu for tonight. We were going for burgers but maybe we just have to have good pizza somewhere! Canadian wannabes - cute.

Very very cool that you're calling on Canadians. I can't believe how many wonderful blogging friends I've met who live in Canada.

And those neighborhood water fights? Can you even imagine if we did that today? Just picture all the blue lights and sirens.

Wonderful memories Susanne. Thank you for doing this silly little pizza thing - we learn just a little more about each other every time we get suckered into doing one of these, eh?

Thanks for tagging me. I did this meme a couple of posts ago..I think last week sometime, so if you want to check it out, look for the graphic of the pizza man.

I'm off on vacation in the AM so won't be around for a week. I'll come visit you again when I get back sometime on the long weekend.

Too fun! I would so love to be in on that water fight! The more the merrier, especially if an adult or two is involved.

You brought back good memories with your answers. I am working on mine (I was tagged by Jen) and hope to have it up today in between laundry, dishes, boys, reading others' blogs, etc.

You may have told us already, but are you from Canada, or did you just move there?
