Early to Bed, Early to Rise, Late to Bed, Still Early to Rise

Yesterday was a bit of a rough day around here. Between chopping into the top of my finger with a very, very, very sharp knife and my mom getting some kind of stomach virus and getting very, very sick my night ended pretty late. Because my brain is feeling about how the little guy in the picture looks, I can't think of anything to post. So I'm going to give you a quote by Audrey Hepburn and let you talk at me in the comments.

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.
For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.
For a beautiful hair, let a child run his/her fingers thru it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed and redeemed.
Never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself and the other for helping others."

Now that I had to redo this whole post 'cause a certain publishing forum lost the last one, I am going to get my very strong coffee and try to start my day. If my brain can think of two sentence to put together that is interesting or makes sense, I'll try to post some profound later! ;P

You don't have to have anything more profound... This one speaks volumes.

Hope you get some needed rest and rejuvenating today or at least some ice cream to make it easier to handle...

Sounds like you had a hectic night! I pray this day will be better! Take care of that finger, and I hope your mom feels better soon!
I love this quote, so you're off the hook for needing anything more profound!

That's plenty profound, Susanne! We've been going through some very sleepless nights here, too - and sadly, I look like that little guy in the cartoon. I hope things perk up for you soon!

Shalee, Heather, Beck & Joy: it is a good quote, isn't it. I just wish I could come up with something like that!

Oh Susanne, sorry you had such a miserable time of it. Any chance your knives were cutco's? I've had stitches twice from them! Sometimes life is just a handful, isn't it.

Loved your quote by Audrey Hepburn, who was so absolutely beautiful on the outside, nice to see she was on the inside too.

Hope life is more bearable tomorrow. xoxo

Barb: Yes it was "OUCH!" but 6 bandages later I think it will be okay! :) And my mom is much better today, thanks!

Bev: I love cutco knives!! I've got about 4 or 5 products from them. But this was a henkel's knife that my hubby sharpened real good and it slipped! Today was good, the Lord was gracious & got me thru the morning and once I got going, with a pot of coffee fueling me, I was fine. :)

You're thinking like me, Melanie. At least she can still type! That's a good thing. Glad to hear you & your mom are better. Great quote, too. I, too, wish I could come up with something profound like this! Take care! Oh, about the picture, LOVE IT! If that little man were a woman, it would be me!

Glad to hear that you and your mom are recovering.

My first two lines of that quote are my favorite. Words of kindness and seeking the good in others - lovely and attractive, indeed.

Hope your finger can be revived, reclaimed and redeemed!

What's resonating with me right now is "don't throw out anyone." It's so true. I need to remember that often I need to be restored, and that I should wait on others to reach their ideal, or better, state as well.
