The Irony Fairies Are Fluttering

I can't believe it. I don't believe in coincidences, but I'd almost say this might be a coincidence?! What have I done to stir up the irony fairies into such an uproar?

I'm talking of blogger going down! What else?! It seems these fairies read because they must have been reading all the times I have mentioned in response to people welcoming me that I hoped I didn't cause the blogworld to crash with my computer illiteracy. How bizarre! Now I know I didn't do anything near wrong enough to put the system down for an entire morning! Did I? But I'm sure in their little Irony Fairy world they are rolling on the floor laughing at my expense.

I wonder if a fly swatter works on them.

And to the 7 days of blogging Carol said us new ones can ask questions. I have one. Why do I now get a little garbage can in my comments whenever I leave a comment? Someone please know the answer!

Well, it's not because you're posting trashy comments. Praise God for that!

We all get it. If you click on it, it gives you the opportunity to delete your own comment. I have it next to my comments, but I think I'm the only one that can access or see it.

And one of the tips I was going to email you later on this week was to turn on word verification.

Good job!

Did that make sense?

Welcome! Welcome! Welcome! Another sister in computer illiteracy. Don't worry--it probably wasn't you that shut blogger down...it may have been me trying to make a few changes to my template! There really should be a Blogging for Dummies--big yellow book we could all buy!

Welcome!

Diane

There is a
Blogger for Dummies
! Go there for answers to some questions... Not that I go there. I just have an... ummm... friend who uses it.

And that was a perfect example of deleting a post! All for example purposes, I assure you. It had nothing to do with spelling a word incorrectly. Nothing whatsoever to do with that!

Hey Susanne,
I hate when blogger shows its "Mr. Hyde" side. It's such a nice tool, but when it goes down, it goes down in a bad way, but such is any computer system! I think the others covered the trash can thing. I've used it often when blogger decides it wants to put my comment up twice when I only posted it once!! Have a good one!
Oh, and I'm gonna add you to my links on a day that blogger isn't being so ornery!

GiBee: thanks for the help!

Dianne: thanks for the welcome! Between me and you then, we'll keep them on their toes!

Shalee: However did your ...aahh... friend find a thing like that?!

Heather: Thanks! I'm going to get a list of blogs I visit as soon as I figure that out. Maybe I'll go over to Shalee's link, I mean Shalee's friends link.

I must maintain my friend's identity, but she said that she was googling to see if a book like that existed and she stumbled upon it.

Is this blogger thing your fault? Can we blame it on you? Ah well, I guess you're worth it!! ;-)

reverberate: That's good to know about the garbage cans.

shalee: your friend is pretty smart.

addie: ya go 'head. I can take it!

You are doing ever so good to figure out the garbage can thing. I never really noticed it. And then someone left a not so very nice comment on my site once (not you of course) and I panicked!!! I couldn't figure out how to delete it (or that the can even really was there) until I followed the help instructions step by step to delete the comment left on my site.

Very observant of you... yes, job well done! You will be much more of a pro than me at this whole thing very, very soon!! (which won't take much at all) :-)
